Me

Scott Hooker was raised and continues to live in the Finger Lakes region of western New York.  

After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in photojournalism, Scott spent several years as a newspaper photographer. His earlier career as a photojournalist started at the  University Daily Kansan, where Scott served as chief photographer and photo editor, and later at the Democrat & Chronicle (Rochester, NY) and The Evening Tribune (Hornell, NY).  During his college years, Scott worked with renowned sports photographer, Rich Clarkson, on assignments for Sports Illustrated magazine, covered daily life in a thriving college town, and worked to incorporate photography into his daily life.

In addition, Scott spent over 40 years as a commercial/event photographer before turning his attention to the landscape. Scott has received awards and accolades for his work and has travel extensively, capturing the light and beauty of the Finger Lakes and regions throughout the country and world.
